There's a lot of things I don't know much about, and photography
is DEFINITELY one of them. . . but one of my favorite things to do
with photographs is play around with them on Photobucket,
which is an AWESOME and very user friendly photo editing program.
Can I just say how entertaining it is to take a semi-decent photo
and turn it into something cool and unique??!!
For instance, my 12 year old son is on his first super league baseball team
and so as a proud momma I wanted to take some pictures
of him in his spiffy new uniform. . .by the way, cool
baseball players don't smile (I learned that from my 17 year old son
who plays on his high school team ;))
okay. . .not too bad, right? Well, after logging into Photobucket and being
all about "vintage" I came up with this. . .
Oh yeah. . .MUCH better! Here's another one I did of my older son
with a different style. . . but still vintage of course!
This is another one of my amateur shots. . .pretty boring, right?
Not anymore :)
The other day, I was browsing pinterest for some eye candy and
came across some beautiful pics and thought to myself. . . hmmm,
I'm going to try some of these on photobucket (they were already great
just the way they were, but I did this just for the fun of it :)
Before. . .
After. . .
(all I did to this one was lighten it, and add a linen weave canvas overlay)
I love the look of this cozy country cottage. . .it looks as though it's
saying "Welcome! Come on in!"
Add a little bit of extra "sunshine" and warmth around the edges
and you get this. . .
And then there's the vintage suitcases. . .oh my goodness, I LOVE this picture-
it's perfect just the way it is. . . but wait, what would it look like on canvas?
Yep. . .THAT'S the look I wanted :)
What's not to love about an old antique bicycle. . .especially in this color?
By adding a light vintage vignette with a sheer "paper overlay" and
you have a one of a kind look. . .yummy!
It's also a great (and inexpensive) way to make invitations.
Before. . .
. . .After :)
One last picture. . .
This is how I made my button :)
Why, THANK YOU Photobucket !!
(By the way, if you'd like to learn how to make your own button
with a grab box, click here)

So if you're not too savvy with the camera like me, there's hope for you after all :)
Get onto Photobucket, and give it a try!!
